INTRODUCING DENNIS
My name is Dennis Yip and I’m a Vancouver-based website developer and photographer. I made my first website back in 2002 by hand-coding HTML and I’ve been hooked ever since. I now have over 14 years of experience in web development and over the last four years, WordPress has become my preferred platform.
Photography has also been a passion of mine for many years. It began as a personal hobby but has evolved to become a big part of my working life. I have worked as a photographer in a variety of situations, from documenting conferences to shooting individual portraits.
I have provided web development and photography services to many clients, ranging from small businesses to larger organizations. My clients have included BCcampus, College of Massage Therapist of British Columbia, Scimedica Health Group, Jewish Community Centre of Greater Vancouver, and many others.
My day job is working at the Justice Institute of British Columbia as Senior Web Specialist. My role there is to design and develop online courses using a variety of education technology tools, including the Blackboard Learning Management System and WordPress.
Outside of work, I enjoy as much time with my family as possible. I also enjoy watching the Vancouver Canucks, working out, and playing sports such as tennis, volleyball, and badminton.
