The Vancouver Police Department’s Motorcycle Drill Team is the Department’s premier escort unit, providing VIP motorcade escorts in the Lower Mainland, and working with the RCMP Protective Services Section. The VPD Motorcycle Drill Team has been rated as Canada’s foremost escort team, escorting numerous heads of state, dignitaries, and members of royalty from around the world.
A couple times a year the team practices at the Justice Institute of British Columbia. I was fortunate enough to be able to take some photos of the exercise on May 9, 2017.
I was fortunate enough to be asked by Janice and Wojtek to photograph their wedding on November 19, 2016. It was an amazing day from start to finish. The amount of preparation required was unbelievable to make the day a celebration of such a beautiful couple. I started the day by photographing the “getting ready” shot – which included make up and hair. The bride looked stunning. Next up was the arrival of the groom and then a short traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony. From there the wedding ceremony was held at the Queen Elizabeth Pavilion. It was my first time there and I was amazed at the architecture/building structure. After the ceremony, Â some portrait shots were taking with the couple around Queen Elisabeth Park. About an hour later we headed to Sun Sui Wah Chinese Restaurant for the reception. Â The reception included speeches as well as traditional Chinese games on the newlyweds. It was truly a very memorable day for myself as a photographer.
The Federation of Massage Therapy Regulatory Authorities of Canada (FOMTRAC) needed a basic website to provide their members with easy to access videos, resources and news. The website was built and designed using the BeTheme WordPress them as well as various other plugins to optimize the site.
I was asked recently to photograph BCcampus’ Festival of Learning Conference from June 6 – 9, 2016 at the Grand Villa Delta Hotel in Burnaby BC. It was a very well attended four day event. I was able to capture images of opening & closing keynote speakers, many of the presenters, the networking opportunity and much more. Congratulations to BCcampus on a job well done!
